For the history buffs
The Willy Clips idea took root on some of the finest, cheap golf courses northeast Florida has to offer. But first, you must understand that my golf game is far from par, so lots of steps get put in. This almost always means carrying my “hydration” with me (and, yea, many times right into the jungle). But the ground ain't a tabletop. And before taking that next hack, it becomes my latest nemesis.
Listen, I love Earth as much as the next guy, but she’s got plenty of rough patches, and most of them make really poor landing spots for a can or bottle.
Then one day it hit! These drink koozies we're always using, let's make them do a little more work. By design, they already have a couple holes right in their base. This helps them fold flat. This also gave us the perfect opening for our clip idea to take hold. But working up a clip was one thing, we also needed it to stand up to those rough patches.
This eventually led us to The Spike, our original Willy Clip idea, and later to even more cool ways to stop the spillage.
